Senior Java Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of scalable, high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong Java development expertise with practical experience using modern AI-assisted coding tools, working within Agile teams to deliver robust, business-driven solutions. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Java applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot Design and implement REST APIs following established design principles Build scalable microservices-based solutions Work with relational (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases to support application requirements Utilize modern software development tools, including git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines Leverage Claude Code or similar agentic AI coding tools for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and code explanation Provide clear project context to AI tools and iterate through multi-turn interactions to achieve usable output Review and validate AI-generated code, identifying hallucinations and ensuring alignment with requirements and existing patterns Understand business context and user needs to inform technical decisions Follow clean code principles and best practices throughout the development lifecycle Collaborate within a team environment, incorporate feedback constructively, and communicate effectively Participate actively in Agile ceremonies within a Scrum/Kanban team Requirements 2–4 years of professional Java development experience Proficiency in the Spring framework (Core, MVC, Boot) Understanding of microservices architecture fundamentals Familiarity with messaging/event streaming platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Event Hubs Skills in implementing Web Services (REST/SOAP) Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in a Scrum/Kanban team Good written and spoken English communication skills Proactive attitude toward problem-solving and continuous learning Nice to have Familiarity with Azure cloud or other cloud providers Exposure to Kubernetes or container orchestration
