Define and drive multi-year architectural evolution from .NET monolith to service-based architecture
Decompose monolith into encapsulated services aligned to core product domains
Choose appropriate languages and data stores for each service
Own application data model end-to-end including ORM patterns and schema design
Partner with Data Engineering to design data models and pipelines for Snowflake
Write production code and help complete platform cloud migration to Azure
Establish and uphold engineering standards across the back end
Run a continuous-delivery cadence for new features and improvements
Mentor engineers and set the tone for back end craftsmanship
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front end, SDET, data, design, and product

10+ years of progressive back end software engineering experience
Deep technical leadership experience as Principal, Staff, or equivalent
Track record of decomposing monolithic applications into service-based architectures
Deep expertise in .NET (C#) and SQL Server
Experience operating at scale in containerized environments on a major cloud
Working fluency in at least one of Go, Node.js, or Python
Experience selecting and operating diverse data stores
Strong experience with ORMs like Entity Framework or Dapper
Experience designing API contracts using REST, GraphQL, or gRPC
Strong grasp of CI/CD, automated testing, and observability
Experience partnering with data engineering on analytical pipelines
Ability to work on Pacific Time hours
