Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver complex technical solutions independently
  • Elevate team quality through coaching and code review
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners
  • Design and build features across the full stack
  • Take full ownership of solutions from design to operation
  • Lead solution design conversations
  • Write and maintain unit and end-to-end tests
  • Conduct coaching-oriented code reviews
  • Leverage AI planning, coding, and review tools
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Customer Success
  • Maintain technical documentation

Requirements

  • Proven production experience with Ruby on Rails (or comparable language)
  • Strong command of application and relational database design
  • Proficiency with front-end technologies (React, JavaScript, and CSS)
  • Experience designing and scaling high-traffic APIs
  • Experience designing and scaling data-intensive systems
  • Strong systems thinking
  • Ability to evaluate trade-offs between performance, maintainability, and testability
  • Ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong ownership mindset
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to provide clear, constructive, and growth-oriented feedback in code reviews
  • Must be located in the United States
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the United States
