A Power Platform Architect/Developer is a key player in designing and developing innovative solutions using Microsoft Power Apps at PS Hummingbird. The Power Platform Architect/Developer (PPAD) acts as the technical expert and provides strategic consultation for PS Hummingbird clients. The PPAD aims to foster strong connections between our clients and PS Hummingbird, uphold quality standards, and cultivate a unified team culture. This approach ensures meaningful outcomes through coordinated efforts across the company, our functions, roles, and specific client needs. This role requires an AI-first mindset, with responsibility for designing, building, and governing Copilot- and agent-driven solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform and Azure AI ecosystem.

Description
Power Platform Architect/Developer responsibilities include
- Client Communication: Engage with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, manage expectations, and discuss innovative solutions—such as AI-driven tools—with meetings, emails, and reports.
- Development Team Coordination: Lead the team, assign tasks, set deadlines, and align efforts with project objectives, including the development and integration of AI capabilities like Power Platform Copilot, Copilot Studio agents, and Azure AI enhancements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet standards through regular reviews and improvements, incorporating best practices in AI-driven designs and intelligent automation.
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Resolve project issues efficiently to maintain progress; assess outcomes and apply best practices for future enhancement, leveraging AI for smarter workflows, decision support, and process orchestration.
- AI Solution Design & Integration: Collaborate with architects and consultants to implement scalable AI use cases, enhance Power Platform with Azure AI Foundry, and integrate AI into Power Apps and Automate workflows. Govern AI deployment by enforcing security, access, logging, monitoring, and ethical practices.
Technical Skills
Microsoft Power Platform
- Power Apps: Experienced in building canvas, model-driven apps, and portals, seamlessly integrating AI capabilities such as Copilot to enhance solutions.
- Power Automate: Skilled in creating automated workflows, incorporating AI-based decisioning, intelligent document processing, and event orchestration for robust automation.
- Power BI: Proficient in designing insightful data visualizations and reports, utilizing AI features to drive advanced analytics.
- Copilot Studio: Capable of developing enterprise conversational and autonomous agents, leveraging integrations across Dataverse, Power Platform, and external systems.
Dynamics 365
- Knowledgeable in Dynamics 365 applications and their integration with Power Platform.
Cloud Solutions
- Familiar with Microsoft Azure and related cloud technologies.
Data Modeling and Management
- Integration: Experienced in connecting Power Platform with other systems and third-party apps.
- Security: Understands role-based access control and data protection best practices.
- Development: Proficient in JavaScript, C#, SQL, custom connectors, and APIs.
- Ai: Proficiency in extending Copilot and Power Platform solutions using custom connectors, REST APIs, Azure Functions, and event-driven patterns. Experience integrating AI services into enterprise solutions using JavaScript, C#, and Azure-based services. Ability to support agent-to-system and agent-to-agent interaction patterns.
AI & Azure Services
- Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry to design and extend intelligent applications and agents.
- Experience integrating LLMs, prompt flows, embeddings, and AI models into Power Platform solutions.
- Ability to design secure, scalable AI architectures, including grounding strategies, API orchestration, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with AI lifecycle management, including testing, versioning, monitoring, and optimization.
Functional Knowledge
- Business Process Optimization: Ability to analyze and optimize business processes using Power Platform solutions.
- Project Management: Skills in managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Change Management: Expertise in managing organizational change and ensuring smooth adoption of new solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Information Technology, or related disciplines)
- 7-10 years’ experience in Consulting implementations of enterprise business applications or systems and implementations with a depth of intangible lessons learned and a network of relationships.
- Demonstrated experience delivering AI-enabled Power Platform solutions in production environments.
- Certifications are a plus:
PL-600 – Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
PL-400 – Power Platform Developer Associate
AI-related Microsoft certifications (Azure AI Engineer, Copilot Studio, or equivalent) are strongly preferred.
Salary
$130,000 - $165,000 per year
