Responsibilities
- Perform initial analysis and preparation for Availability Duration Scorecard (ADS) Quarterly Review
- Calculate projected categorical Navy Surface ship maintenance and modernization availability durations
- Organize material, perform data analytics, and complete writing assignments
- Create and update databases and spreadsheet-analysis data
- Gather and analyze technical information and create EXCEL/SQL queries
- Apply data mining techniques to large data sets
- Analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions from data
- Create and deliver graphical representations, reports, and dashboards
- Interpret and analyze data, behaviors, processes, trends, and recommend solutions
- Lead working groups, analytical teams, forums, and readiness exercises
- Provide programmatic management and planning support services
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in leveraging data to support decision-making
- Background in data analytics in a DOD setting
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to standards
- Familiarity with naval environment data sources and systems
- Advanced competency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferred
- NAVSEA or Navy experience
- Experience with Depot-level Overhaul, Maintenance and Modernization activities
- Algorithm writing experience with Python and similar AI/ML languages
- Familiarity with Navy maintenance and readiness data systems (OARS, VSB, CASREP)
- Education or certification in data analytics, computer science, or related field
