Own substantial share of day-to-day cloud operations across AWS and Azure
Extend infrastructure-as-code coverage with AWS CDK, Bicep, or Terraform
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment
Apply resource tagging, naming, and cost-allocation standards
Implement security controls for a HIPAA-regulated environment
Build and maintain EHR integrations over standards-based interfaces
Develop and operate layered data architecture on Databricks
Build pipelines delivering curated data to application services
Produce datasets for billing, regulatory, client reporting, and analytics
Own pipeline reliability and cost, including monitoring and performance tuning
Contribute to data governance including cataloging and access control
Use AI coding agents and LLM tooling as a default part of workflow
Identify and automate toil in engineering and operational processes
Drive objectives from ambiguity to production-ready results
Write documentation, diagrams, and runbooks for team operability
Collaborate with clinical, pharmacy, finance, and vendor partners

15+ years of professional software, data, or infrastructure engineering experience
Deep hands-on AWS experience across compute, networking, storage, IAM, and managed data services
Production experience with Databricks including Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog
Strong Python and SQL
Hands-on AWS CDK or deep Terraform-equivalent experience
Git-based workflows and automated deployment
Experience integrating with third-party APIs and building services for an application tier
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience

Healthcare data experience: HL7 FHIR, SMART on FHIR, OAuth 2.0, HL7 v2, NCPDP, claims data, EHR integration, PHI under HIPAA
Working Azure experience; bringing an existing cloud estate under infrastructure-as-code management
Bicep or Terraform on Azure
Relevant certifications: AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer Professional, Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect, Databricks Data Engineer Professional
Prior experience in a startup or small-team environment
