Design and implement distributed data pipelines using Apache Spark, Kafka, or Flink
Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and storage patterns across relational and non-relational platforms
Implement and operate ETL/ELT workflows using Apache Airflow or cloud-native services
Establish and maintain data quality validation rules, monitoring, and anomaly detection processes
Build and maintain data lineage, cataloging, and metadata management solutions
Apply security best practices including encryption and role-based access controls
Troubleshoot and resolve complex pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and application teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
2–8 years of experience in data engineering or closely related roles
Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, and Apache Airflow
Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL, cloud data warehouse platforms, and object storage
Experience implementing data quality, validation, and lineage in production
Active Secret security clearance required
U.S. citizenship required
Solid understanding of data security principles including encryption and access control

Experience designing and operating data platforms on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Professional certification in cloud data engineering or big data technologies
Prior experience supporting mission-critical or highly regulated government systems
Experience contributing to enterprise data architecture evolution and governance forums
