Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain IBM ODM-based microservices for laboratory workflow automation and clinical validation

Develop and manage business rules using IBM Operational Decision Manager

Integrate ODM decision services with Java APIs, microservices, and cloud-native platforms

Support high-volume systems processing millions of laboratory transactions

Provide end-to-end production support, including incident investigation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and root cause analysis

Analyze production data to identify trends, anomalies, system issues, and performance improvement opportunities

Collaborate with development, QA, business, and operations teams to enhance business rules and system functionality

Manage rule deployment, versioning, testing, and reliability across distributed environments

Optimize the performance, scalability, and availability of Java and ODM services

Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles

Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, production releases, and DevOps automation activities

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, security requirements, and data-governance standards

Required

4+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager

Strong experience with business rule management systems and decision services

Proficiency in Java and microservices architecture

Experience integrating REST APIs and cloud-native applications

Experience supporting business-critical production systems in high-volume environments

Strong knowledge of production monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

Experience analyzing production data and identifying performance or operational trends

Familiarity with system monitoring and application-performance-management tools

Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments

Preferred

Experience with clinical laboratory systems, healthcare applications, or large-scale healthcare data environments

Knowledge of HIPAA, CLIA, or related healthcare compliance requirements

Working knowledge of SQL

Experience with data lakes, reporting platforms, or data-analysis tools

Experience supporting distributed and cloud-connected applications
