About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to deliver on-demand Break & Fix support within enterprise IT environments. This is a freelance, customer-facing role suited to an experienced engineer who can independently diagnose and resolve infrastructure, virtualization, hardware, and networking issues both onsite and remotely.

The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Nutanix technologies, solid networking knowledge, a valid CCNA certification, and excellent English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote Break & Fix support for enterprise infrastructure and networking incidents.
• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Nutanix environments, including AOS, AHV, and Prism.
• Perform upgrades, patching, and infrastructure lifecycle maintenance.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization, and network-related issues.
• Resolve connectivity problems involving TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Respond to incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
• Work closely with regional and global technical teams on infrastructure initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation, service reports, and incident records.
• Deliver professional, customer-focused support during all client interactions.

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, networking, virtualization, or IT support engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Nutanix (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Experience supporting VMware and/or Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
• Proven Break & Fix experience within enterprise IT environments.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and networking issues.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• PowerShell and/or Python scripting experience is advantageous.

Requirements

• Valid CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification.
• Minimum 90% pass mark on the induction assessment.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments.
• Strong professional attitude and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or higher.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise networking infrastructure.
