Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable software applications and systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality products
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to peers and less experienced engineers
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications for performance and scalability
- Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to systems and processes
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools and practices to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and document decision-making
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or a demonstrated track record of building and shipping challenging software projects
- 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- Demonstrated experience delivering software to production environments, including ownership of features from design through deployment
- Experience in developing large-scale, high-performance applications
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Expert-level proficiency in relevant programming languages (Python, Java, GoLang)
- Strong proficiency in relational databases
- Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker)
- Familiarity with orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in designing and implementing automated testing strategies
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Experience with collaborative development tools
- Hands-on experience using and integrating AI-based tools and workflows into the development lifecycle
- Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and establishing appropriate guardrails against inherent risks
- Must reside in one of these states: CA, CT, FL, IL, KY, MD, MA, MI, MN, NC, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA
- Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship now or in the future
