Network Engineer

• Individuals will be hired from a broad base of candidates including those holding a CCIE.
• Primarily focus on core routing and switching (R&S) technologies, but may not always be limited to just those technologies.

Job Responsibilities

• Knowledge as a Network Infrastructure (NI) specialist in core IP routing and switching and advanced technologies
• Experience into Network Designing is must
• Working directly with customers as a “trusted advisor” (may include some travel throughout the Americas)
• Completing assignments with a high degree of client and customer satisfaction
• Support delivery of service program to major accounts
• Review network requirements and produce high and low level network designs
• Plan and execute complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer network problems across a broad range of technologies
• Act as a technical focal point for large account network problem resolution
• Generate reusable Intellectual Capital in the form of standard customer deliverables

Technical Knowledge

• Layer 2 Intermediate-level knowledge
• Spanning-tree (types, foundational knowledge)
• Ether-channels
• Switching (mls, cef, etc.)
• port-security
• other layer 2 R&S features
• Layer 3 Intermediate-level knowledge
• Routing protocols – At least OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
• Port-channels
• R&S Network Services Intermediate-level knowledge
• HSRP, GLBP, VRRP
• NTP
• DHCP
• DNS
• NAT
• Syslog
• SNMP
• And possibly others
