Backend Developer

Introduction

A fast-growing MedTech company based in the USA that is dedicated to improving the lives of people in our community is currently seeking a talented Backend Developer to join its team and help them build cutting-edge solutions that will make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the company's backend systems
• Collaborate with the front-end development team to ensure seamless integration of all systems
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
• Ensure that all systems are secure, scalable, and reliable

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Fluency in English both Written and Communication.
• Comfortable working with remote global team members
• At least 3 years of experience in backend development
• Strong knowledge of programming languages, especially Java, JavaScript and NodeJS, as our backend is primarily built on these languages.
• Familiarity with web application frameworks, specifically Spring Boot (Java).Hands-on Experience in java programming languages Spring, Spring boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and multi-threading programmingKnowledge of Databases, and understanding how to create and maintain database schemas, write queries, and optimize performance.
• API Development: strong understanding of RESTful API development and be able to design, develop, and maintain APIs.
• Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills can help you collaborate effectively with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure that the backend meets the business and user needs.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a teamExcellent communication skills

• Frontend Development: Understanding frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript can help to collaborate better with frontend developers and ensure a smooth flow of data between the front and back ends.
• DevOps: Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools can help to automate server and deployment tasks, ensure smooth collaboration between development and operations teams. (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, ClickUp, Automated deployments, and containerization)
• Server Administration
• Experience with Click-Up or Jira
