The Senior Security Analyst supports Mayo Clinic Arizona’s workplace violence prevention, patient and visitor conduct management, and security risk management programs through data analysis, program evaluation, operational reporting, stakeholder consultation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role analyzes workplace violence prevention interventions, safety plan utilization, security event trends, and training effectiveness to identify risks, measure program performance, and support informed decision-making. This role provides training and education to staff on workplace violence prevention, response, and safety awareness. The position also supports the administrative and operational functions of the Workplace Violence Prevention program, including program coordination, reporting, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and other support activities that help sustain program effectiveness. The analyst collaborates with Security, clinical operations, Human Resources, regulatory partners, committees, and organizational leaders to advance risk mitigation strategies, support stakeholder engagement, and strengthen a culture of safety for patients and staff.

The position analyzes workplace violence prevention interventions, Behavioral Safety Plan utilization, security event trends, and training effectiveness to identify risks, measure program performance, and support informed decision-making.
The Senior Security Analyst evaluates information from incident reporting systems, security technologies, training programs, operational partners, and other organizational resources to identify trends, assess emerging risks, and develop recommendations that strengthen prevention, preparedness, and organizational resilience. The role develops reports, dashboards, presentations, tools, and communication materials that support strategic priorities, operational effectiveness, regulatory readiness, and a culture of safety.
The Senior Security Analyst collaborates with Security, clinical operations, Human Resources, regulatory partners, committees, and organizational leaders to advance risk mitigation strategies, support stakeholder engagement, and drive program improvements. As a senior team member, the position applies Enterprise Security Risk Management principles, data-driven analysis, and knowledge of relevant systems, applications, workflows, and processes to assess risk, resolve problems, recommend improvements, and support strategic and operational security initiatives.

The role requires strong analytical, data management, communication, presentation, organizational, problem-solving, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
The role also requires demonstrated knowledge of planning techniques, continuous improvement methods, project management methods, analytical tools, security standards, risk management principles, workplace violence prevention practices, and related regulatory expectations. Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. CPP, CISSP, CISM, CHPA, or equivalent security certification preferred. If certification is required by department or role expectations, it must be obtained within two years of hire.
