Senior Software Developer (AI Agent Developer)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Agent Developer to design, develop, deploy, and optimize intelligent AI agents that automate business processes, support decision-making, and enhance user experiences. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), agent orchestration frameworks, API integrations, and enterprise architecture to build scalable AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents using modern agent frameworks.
• Build scalable, high-performance backend microservices, asynchronous workers, and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Design, optimize, and maintain relational and non-relational database schemas, queries, and data storage layers supporting AI workflows.
• Integrate with and consume curated enterprise data from Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, and internal data lakes to power agent workflows and RAG pipelines.
• Leverage Azure Cloud & AI Services (e.g., Blob Storage, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search) for scalable model serving, storage, and retrieval.
• Build and maintain multi-agent systems that collaborate to achieve business objectives.
• Develop AI workflows leveraging LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and knowledge management systems.
• Integrate AI agents with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, ERP, CRM, procurement, and workflow platforms.
• Create tools, plugins, and function-calling capabilities enabling agents to execute business actions.
• Implement prompt engineering, reasoning workflows, memory management, and agent orchestration strategies.
• Ensure backend and AI solutions meet security, compliance, privacy, and governance requirements.
• Monitor, evaluate, and optimize agent performance, accuracy, latency, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI automation opportunities.
• Document architecture, deployment procedures, and technical designs.
• Stay current with advancements in Generative AI, agentic AI, and emerging technologies.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including hands-on experience building asynchronous services with FastAPI.
• Solid database knowledge, including data modeling, indexing, and query optimization across relational (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (Azure AI Services / Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Blob Storage).
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI solutions, Large Language Models, RAG pipelines and agentic workflows.
• Experience with code-first AI agent and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, LangChain).
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, vector databases, embeddings, and RAG architectures.
• Experience with containerization and deploying applications to container orchestration platforms (such as Docker, OpenShift or Kubernetes).
• Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise AI solutions.
• Knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes.
• Understanding of AI governance, Responsible AI, and model evaluation frameworks.
• Cloud certifications (Azure AI Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.).
• Knowledge of frontend framework (Next.js, ReactJS) is a plus.
