Senior IP Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage a secure and reliable network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution.
• Ensure network security through effective access control and monitoring.
• Configure and manage VPNs, ensuring secure communication.
• Utilize network diagnostic tools to monitor and analyze network performance.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to optimize network operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in network engineering.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

• Industry-related experience as a Senior IP Network Engineer
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the same role
• Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP and optionally CCDP)
• Solid background in network administration and architecture
• IP-based WANs, LANs, and transport hardware and software.
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and IPv4/IPv6.)
• Familiarity with access control models and network security, Skills in securing networks with firewalls, Cisco ASA, and other security appliances.
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
• VPN Technologies: Experience with configuring and managing VPNs, particularly IPsec.
• Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS)
• Implement, and manage a robust and secure network infrastructure
• Sharp troubleshooting skills
