Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Rust to join our team on a short-term contractual basis. This is a remote, hands-on development role requiring deep backend experience and production-level proficiency in Rust.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Rust
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement APIs and backend features
• Optimize system performance and ensure reliability under load
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices
• Deliver high-quality code within a fast-paced 2-month project timeline

Requirements

• 8+ years of overall backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Rust in production systems (must-have)
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and asynchronous programming
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis)
• Comfortable working independently and delivering in tight timelines
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments is a plus
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in fast-paced contract or consulting roles
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
