COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Our client is a Microsoftcentric Company specialising in intelligent warehousing and projects in ERP and they are looking for a Junior Developer / IT Technician to join their development team as soon as possible.

JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with basic software development tasks.
• Assist with maintaining and updating existing applications.
• Provide basic IT and technical support.
• Assist with troubleshooting system and software issues.
• Assist with basic SQL and database tasks.
• Test software and report any errors or issues.
• Assist with software installations and updates.
• Provide technical support to clients when required.
• Attend client sites when required.
• Learn and work with C# / .NET applications.
• Assist the development team with day-to-day tasks.
• Perform general IT-related duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Matric
• IT / Software Development / Computer Science Diploma or Degree – advantage

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Little or no commercial development experience required
• Basic programming knowledge or exposure to C# / .NET / SQL – advantage
• Strong Logical thinker with good problem-solving skills
• Basic understanding of programming concepts
• Interest in learning C# / .NET and SQL
• Own vehicle and valid driver's license – ESSENTIAL, as the candidate will be required to support clients on site
• Own laptop – ESSENTIAL
• Good analytical and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to learn and work with existing applications
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Team player and willing to take initiative interest in software development and willingness to learn
