About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Line Manager to lead the strategy, development, and growth of an innovative portfolio of Industrial IoT, Edge AI, enterprise connectivity, security, surveillance, and critical asset monitoring solutions. This is a highly strategic leadership role responsible for defining product vision, executing product roadmaps, managing product lifecycles, and driving profitable business growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen and customer engagement skills. This individual will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and executive leadership to develop differentiated products that address evolving customer needs and expand market share within industrial technology markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the long-term product strategy and roadmap for Industrial IoT connectivity, Edge AI, security, surveillance, and critical asset monitoring solutions.
- Own the complete product lifecycle, including market research, business case development, pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, product launches, and end-of-life planning.
- Define product requirements by gathering customer feedback, analyzing market trends, and evaluating competitive offerings.
- Partner with Engineering and Product Development teams to prioritize features, manage product releases, and ensure successful execution of the product roadmap.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop product positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategies, and customer-facing collateral including datasheets, solution briefs, presentations, and competitive analyses.
- Serve as the technical and business expert during customer engagements, executive briefings, industry events, and partner meetings.
- Drive product strategy for Edge AI, computer vision, industrial gateways, enterprise networking, and intelligent connectivity solutions.
- Support customer escalations by coordinating with Engineering, Product Support, and Operations to resolve technical issues and incorporate customer feedback into future product enhancements.
- Develop strategic partnerships and ecosystem integrations with cloud platforms, software vendors, technology partners, and channel organizations.
- Monitor key business metrics including revenue growth, profitability, design wins, market adoption, recurring revenue, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market assessments to identify emerging technologies, customer requirements, and new business opportunities.
- Present product strategies, business cases, and roadmap updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support industry trade shows, customer visits, partner meetings, and product demonstrations as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical discipline. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of Product Management or Product Line Management experience within Industrial IoT, networking, enterprise connectivity, embedded systems, or related technology industries.
- Demonstrated success developing and launching hardware, software, or connected technology products.
- Strong knowledge of Industrial IoT, 5G/LTE, Wi-Fi, BLE, Ethernet, industrial networking, and enterprise connectivity technologies.
- Experience with Edge AI, edge computing, industrial gateways, remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, or intelligent connected devices.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, pricing strategy, market analysis, competitive positioning, and business case development.
- Experience working closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Operations throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and executive-level influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a customer-first mindset.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% to 20% for customer meetings, partner engagements, and industry events.
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or advanced technical degree.
- Experience with connected hardware combined with SaaS or recurring revenue business models.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, secure device onboarding, OTA updates, fleet management, and device lifecycle management.
- Experience with industrial automation, manufacturing, transportation, utilities, smart infrastructure, or critical infrastructure markets.
- Familiarity with Video Management Systems (VMS), computer vision, and AI inference technologies.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, OPC UA, and carrier certification requirements.
- Experience managing strategic technology partnerships and ecosystem integrations.
