Software Engineer III - Internal Only

Your job

As a Software Engineer III on Indeed’s Mobile App Platform team, you will build and evolve the shared platform capabilities that power our mobile engineering ecosystem across React Native (including React Native for Web), iOS, and Android. You will work on the foundations that enable product teams to ship mobile experiences quickly and safely, including build and release workflows, developer tooling, test and verification systems, and cross-platform architecture.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers, product partners, and other platform teams to design and deliver reliable, scalable solutions that improve developer velocity and release quality. You will contribute to technical design decisions, help simplify complex mobile apps platform workflows, and create reusable systems that make it easier for multiple teams to build and operate mobile features at scale.

• Design, implement, and maintain features and services that support core business workflows.
• Contribute to the evolution of existing systems while helping prototype and deliver new capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to maintain quality, reliability, and clarity.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Identify performance and scalability improvements and enhance existing code accordingly.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to teammates through collaboration and feedback.
• Communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively within the team.

Who we are

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or a PhD without experience
• Experience building or contributing to large-scale or distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science fundamentals.
• A demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability for delivered work.
• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and enjoyment of solving complex technical problems.

The salary range for this role reflects the minimum and maximum compensation for the role. Offers are typically made between the range minimum and the range midpoint. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
