Safety & Security Specialist - IKEA Bangna

About the job

Reporting to the Safety & Security Manager, you will provide support to the various levels of management in ensuring a safe and secure environment for our customers and co-workers and in protecting our assets and the IKEA brand. You will also maintain an overall risk aware and control culture and compliance with internal IKEA and external legal demands.

Your assignment

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for co-workers, customers, and visitors by implementing IKEA Safety & Security standards and ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Fire Command Centre (FCC) and coordinate effective responses to emergency and crisis situations.
• Drive compliance with IKEA Safety & Security standards by planning and conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments, and follow-up actions.
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
• Prepare, maintain, and monitor emergency preparedness and crisis response plans to ensure the store is always ready to respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate and support Sec Check, insurance inspections, and regulatory audits to achieve IKEA's intended level of Safety & Security.
• Deliver and facilitate Safety & Security training, awareness programs, and drills to build a strong safety culture across the store.
• Manage and develop the contracted security team, ensuring they are well-trained, competent, and capable of protecting IKEA people, assets, and property.
• Monitor, analyze, and report Safety & Security performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Your profile

• You have a good understanding of Safety & Security principles and relevant Thai laws and regulations.
• You know how to investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
• You communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing.
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and can stay calm under pressure.
• You have experience in Safety & Security, preferably in a retail or customer-focused environment.
• You have knowledge of security operations, fire prevention, emergency response, and workplace safety.
• You're familiar with security systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, access control, and fire protection systems.
• You can monitor security service performance and work closely with security providers to continuously improve standards.
• You're proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoy solving problems.
• You work well independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and external authorities.
