ABOUT YOUR ROLE

The Scheduling Planner is responsible for developing, optimizing, and executing detailed production schedules that balance machine capacity, material availability, and labor resources against dynamic customer demand.

Unlike macro planning or forecasting, this role focuses on real-time operational execution and scheduling efficiency. The individual will act as a pivotal decision-maker on the production floor, proactively driving solutions to resolve bottlenecks, ensuring on-time delivery (SLA/ETD), and optimizing overall manufacturing productivity through data-driven insights.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Production Scheduling & Decision Making

Plan & Schedule

Develop and continuously optimize the overall daily and weekly production schedules based on order specifications, established priorities, worker capacity, machinery/equipment capability, and raw material availability.

Drive Solutions

Proactively identify production bottlenecks, capacity overloads, or material shortages. Formulate, propose, and lead action plans to mitigate risks and resolve schedule conflicts.

Improve Adherence

Monitor target vs. actual schedule compliance. Lead post-mortem reviews on scheduling deviations to continuously refine planning parameters and guarantee meet SLA/ETD, CRD (Flexibility), and PD (Reliability) standards.

Performance Analysis

Monitor, analyze, and report on key production metrics including Service Level, Output, UEE (Utilization Equipment Effectiveness), and UPLH (Units Per Labor Hour). Turn data insights into actionable recommendations for management to improve overall factory performance.

Inventory & Materials

Coordinate the timely requisition of materials from the warehouse based on the production timeline, while monitoring and reporting on weekly/monthly production inventory levels to avoid excesses or shortages.

  • Collaboration & Operations

Main Contact Point

Serve as the primary liaison and central coordinator between the Planning, Production, Warehouse (WH), Raw Materials (RM), and Prepress teams to align operational goals.

Production Alignment

Drive cross-departmental alignment on the production plan to consistently meet service level targets and maximize production output.

Master Data Maintenance

Collaborate closely with the Printing and Prepress departments to ensure that color codes, printing methods, delivery times, and UPS (Units Per Sheet) are accurately maintained and updated in the master database.

Constraint Management

Actively propose and execute strategic action plans to navigate dynamic operational constraints, machine breakdowns, or unexpected changes in the production environment.

  • Education & Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.

Experience

1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in Supply Chain, Material Planning, Production Scheduling, Logistics, or related analytical roles (experience in manufacturing environments is a strong plus).
