Responsibilities

We are seeking a Product Engineering Manager or Technical Expert for semiconductor lasers, including DFB lasers and electro-absorption modulator integrated lasers.

• Lead semiconductor laser characterization, performance analysis, and failure analysis.
• Improve processes, product quality, and yield using data-driven methods.
• Conduct statistical analysis and monitor performance trends.
• Develop analysis automation, data models, and machine-learning applications as needed.
• Establish engineering standards and process-control methods.
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Equipment teams.

Expected Background

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in science or engineering.
• Strong interest in semiconductor devices, optoelectronics, manufacturing, or data science.
• Logical and analytical thinking skills, with persistence in solving complex technical problems.

Expected Skill

• Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Python, JMP, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization
• Fluent Japanese speaker and Basic communication skills in English (reading/writing and participating in online meetings or email discussions)
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with semiconductor processes, optical devices, or electronic-device characterization.
• Experience in yield management, quality improvement, or manufacturing process optimization.
• Experience in root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving.
• Experience developing data models or automated analysis tools.
• Practical experience in yield management, quality improvement, or process optimization in manufacturing
