Software Developer – AI Specialist

We are hiring a Software Developer – AI Specialist to lead the integration of AI capabilities into a next-generation healthcare platform and suite of user-facing portals. In this key role, you’ll design and implement AI-powered workflows that support doctors, patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams—making care more intelligent, efficient, and human-centered.

You’ll work closely with a global, cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product stakeholders to build intelligent assistants, automate clinical documentation, and deploy cutting-edge NLP features. From AI-enhanced search to chatbot integration, this is a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital healthcare through applied AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI features across Medido’s healthcare products
• Work with third-party AI/NLP services (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, AWS AI)
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot) or Node.js
• Collaborate with front-end/mobile teams to create intuitive, AI-enhanced UIs
• Design intelligent assistants (e.g., summarization tools, smart routing)
• Partner with DevOps to ensure secure, scalable deployments
• Monitor AI model performance and ensure healthcare compliance (e.g., HIPAA)
• Research best practices for AI in clinical and patient-facing applications

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• 4+ years in backend or full-stack development
• 1–2 years experience integrating AI into production systems
• Java/Spring Boot or Node.js/Express proficiency
• Familiarity with AI/NLP APIs (OpenAI, LangChain, Hugging Face)
• RESTful API and microservice experience
• Experience with Docker, Git, AWS, and CI/CD workflows
• Fluent English and ability to work in cross-functional remote teams

Preferred Skills

• Experience with prompt engineering and vector databases
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and real-time data indexing
• Tools: Postman, JMeter, Bitbucket, ClickUp
• Healthcare workflow or regulatory system experience
