Senior Software Engineer

Remote - USA

Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for Leading the development of company products for Clinical Trial Management services.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Leads design, architecting, prototyping and implementation of modules and software solutions with a deep focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Manages the development of software and associated documentation following company product development processes.
• Provides guidance on validation activities to verify that software meets requirement specifications.
• Provides technical guidance to software development vendors and contractors.
• Develops and maintains standard operating procedure on product development processes.
• Develops, supports, and maintains company’s products and associated infrastructure.
• Provides technical client support as needed.
• Performs other general organization and departmental related activities as needed and upon request.

Education & Experience

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of industry or equivalent experience in designing complex large-scale distributed systems on the cloud.
• Experience designing and developing Microservices using one of the following languages Java, Python, Node, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks, RESTful API, and web technologies.
• Solid understanding of application deployment environments: web server tuning, server load balancing, caching techniques, MySQL, Postgres, Messaging Queues, MongoDB and Redis
• Working knowledge of Agile software development processes.
