About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer Sales Excellence Analytics to join our Sales Excellence team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and optimizing data environments, ensuring data integrity, and supporting analytics applications that provide actionable insights to our organization. You will also lead a team of data engineers, mentor junior team members, and implement best practices in data engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data models that consolidate and integrate data from multiple sources.
• Structure and optimize data for use in analytics applications.
• Cleanse, process, and transform large datasets to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Implement ETL pipelines and data flow components to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
• Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers, ensuring best practices in data engineering are followed.
• Manage cloud-based data solutions, with a preference for Azure DevOps and Git.
• Develop advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to manage complex data operations.
• Utilize Excel automation techniques such as VBA, Power Pivot, and cube functions to enhance data usability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sales intelligence and operations.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and quality assurance processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, including experience managing and mentoring other data engineers.
• Expertise in SQL, relational databases, and SQL objects (stored procedures, functions, views, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure DevOps and Git.
• Strong ETL experience, including building and optimizing data pipelines.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel techniques, including Power Pivot, VBA automation, and cube functions.
• Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize workload.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in a technical field.
• Experience with Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Familiarity with sales processes and systems.
• Understanding of quality assurance processes in data engineering.
