Role Summary

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves managing network security, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring seamless connectivity across systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in networking, firewalls, and server management, along with the ability to provide technical support and optimize system performance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Monitor and troubleshoot computer systems and network performance to ensure efficiency and security.
• Respond promptly to service issues and user requests, providing technical support both remotely and in person.
• Set up accounts and systems for new users while ensuring compliance with security protocols.
• Repair and replace hardware components as needed.
• Test and implement new technologies to enhance system performance.
• Provide user training on IT best practices and system usage.
• Monitor network security, availability, utilization, throughput, and latency, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues reported by end users.

Requirements & Skills

• Minimum BSC in Computer Science or a related field.

2-4 Years experience

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or System Administrator.
• Hands-on expertise in networking, routing, and switching (Cisco Switches).
• Strong knowledge of server infrastructure management, monitoring, and security best practices.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and remote troubleshooting (preferably Sophos Firewall).
• Ability to set up and configure server hardware effectively.
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
