POSITION OVERVIEW
This position shall oversee the management and configuration of the MEIS architecture, including all application environments (development, test, and production) as appropriate. This position will work closely with NIST’s Infrastructure/middleware team to maintain and manage MEIS operations, installations, and configurations in NIST’s cloud environment.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain the MEIS application architecture and environments, including development, test, UAT, and production, to ensure availability, stability, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with NIST/OISM infrastructure, middleware, server, network, security, and development teams to support MEIS operations, installations, configurations, and technical changes.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, version control processes, and automated deployment workflows supporting reliable application releases.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health, troubleshoot environment and performance issues, and support incident response and root cause analysis.
- Support the configuration and administration of technologies such as IIS, AWS, Azure, Windows Server, and SQL Server within the NIST cloud environment.
- Coordinate application deployments, configuration changes, upgrades, migrations, and post-release validation across MEIS environments.
- Support security patching, vulnerability remediation, access controls, and compliance activities in accordance with applicable NIST, CISA, and FISMA requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, operational procedures, and GitLab/version-control artifacts to ensure system changes and infrastructure activities are fully documented and traceable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 8+ years’ related experience
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (any) or equivalent
- Expertise in Maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines and version control processes
- Support incident response and environment troubleshooting
- Experience with IIS administration,
The salary or salary range for this role reflects an estimated range informed by multiple compensation factors. Final offers may vary based on considerations such as relevant experience, education and training, critical skillsets, and overall business needs.
Pay range
$130,000—$145,000 USD
